Knit The day before we flew to South Africa I saw this Zoofari sock wool from Schachenmayr in the wool shop window. Although I haven’t bought any conventional wool in years I immediately bought two skeins to knit winter socks for my girl. The same day my love asked me how much wool I would pack. Right! I thought, that’s the most important question concerning packing for a two month vacation. In the end I couldn’t knit a stitch during our flights.
Read Just like the Zebra wool this book found me the day before we left. I haven’t read or heard about it before but just took it when it was offered second hand. The knitting circle by Ann Hood is based on a real story and although it’s quite sad it’s also happy in a special way. In a knitters way.
When he saw the title my love suggested that we could make our own knitting circle, just the two of us. Yes! I just smiled, happy, that I secretly packed extra wool and needles for him.
