knit I cast on plain vest. I probably just wanted to make it because the girl on the pattern page is so cute. But also because I had the ideal yarn waiting for it. It's handspun single ply wool. I wish I knew how to spin this. I bought it in Patagonia when I was there a few years ago. I guessed I had enough but this thick yarn knits up so fast so I have to add stripes in green.
The upper picture shows little ladys knit christmas dress. I just made it up but the yoke was soon too tight. It took some months to fnd the motivation to rip and fix it. To my surprise she can still wear it and maybe still when it's colder again...
read After I picked up Toymaking with children by Freya Jaffke I immediately tossed out more toys from the only toy drawer we have so far. The other book (no english version) is about toys made of natural things like flowers, leaves, rosehips combined with stories or verses.

Habe gerade die plain vest angeschlagen, obwohl dieses dicke Garn - ein Souvenir aus Chile - gerade nicht so zu den Temperaturen passt. Das obere Bild zeigt nicht die Weste, sondern mein Mädchen in ihrem Weihnachts"kleid" das einen weiteren Kragen braucht (seit Monaten!). Endlich habe ich mich mal rangewagt und die letzten Reihen aufgetrennt.
Kennt ihr die Bücher Naturspielzeug und Spielzeug von Eltern selbst gemacht? Darin zu stöbern und zu lesen... man vergisst fast dass man schon erwachsen ist...
